My name is Mike Smart and I've personally written and recorded every Excel video on this channel. I've devoted the last 20 years of my life working towards one objective: To create the world's best and easiest way to master Excel.
I'm the founder and CEO of The Smart Method. In my long career as an IT consultant, I specified, designed and delivered IT solutions for large corporations all over the world. In 2002 I decided to specialize in IT training and founded The Smart Method.
By carefully observing the areas that students find the most difficult to understand, I've constantly refined my "Smart Method" teaching technique over a period of more than twenty years.
In 2008 I realized that I could only ever teach a few thousand students in my classroom courses but could help millions of students by producing my Excel courses in book form. My first "Smart Method" Excel books (covering Excel 2007) rapidly became best sellers and my books have topped best seller lists ever since.

09-06 Use Excel CheckBox values in formulas without VBA
The Excel CheckBox form control enables you to create elegant interactive Excel worksheets. You can use the CheckBox selection within Excel formulas without using any VBA code. In this lesson you'll create formulas that update worksheet values based upon CheckBox selections.

What's the formula for totalling up Yearly shopping. Can I use autosum to total up a shopping list for the whole year?. For example can I type =SUM(D6:Z38 in Total box and click enter. And for monthly total do I use autosum by typing =SUM(D6:D38 in the total box and click enter

You can use AutoSum to sum any column of numbers. Make sure that the column only contains numbers (for example not text) and that there are no blank cells. You can also manually type in a SUM function to reference any range of cells (see Lesson 2-12: Create Excel formulas the correct, professional way: ruclips.net/video/GR7rebZN_hE/видео.html).
